James Pember Obituary
James A. Pember, 66, of Portsmouth, RI, passed away at home June 17, 2023. He was born September 28, 1956 in Elyria and was a 1975 graduate of Keystone High School. He was a horticulturist alongside his wife, Donna, operating Botanica Gardens in Portsmouth. Aside from his horticulture skills, he was also a talented artist. James is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna (nee Adams); children, Megan Pember of Newport, RI, Jillian Pember of Newport, RI, Ian Pember of Tiverton, RI and Calvin Pember of Portsmouth, RI; mother, Darlene (nee Hambly) Varner; aunts; uncles; many cousins; nieces; nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Pember; brother, Richard Pember and a sister, Ann Cunningham. Friends will be received Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of a 12:30 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria with Al Brazynetz officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
