James Edward Little's Obituary
James Little Obituary
James “Jimmy, Jimbo” Edward Little, 34, of Elyria, died unexpectedly February 13, 2022. He was born March 8, 1987, in San Diego, CA, was raised in Elyria, OH and was a 2005 graduate of Elyria High School. From day one Jimmy was sharp and just as sensitive in the best of ways. His empathy poured out of him. And he loved to love. A man of many titles, many talents, and enough dreams for us all. He was keen with a pool cue and more than handy with a hammer. Jimmy had a real sense of rhythm and perfect timing. He was goofy and jolly and full of energy. He could always get a laugh out of you. He loved music and food and friends around a table. He was full of laughter and smiles and wasn’t afraid to shed a tear with you. James had a dog, Lue Dog, who was the love of his life and his partner in shenanigans. They were kindred spirits, and they are now reunited. He loved fishing and the countryside and just as much the bustle of the city. He enjoyed reading Cormac McCarthy, Ernest Hemingway, and Jack Kerouac. Jimmy was his own person and didn’t shy away from it. He was brave, wildly strong, and as sweet as a newborn babe. But most of all, Jimmy was a Gem. A living treasure. And each one of us is richer for having known him. Jimmy is survived by parents, James and Melody Little of Youngsville, PA; brothers, Ryan Little of Washington, DC. and Dustin Little of Fort Bragg, NC; nieces Daynica and Dani Little; nephew Dylan Little. Family and friends will be received Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 12:00 until 3:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A special dedication will be at 1:00 PM and anyone is welcome to say a few words in honor of Jimmy’s life. He made a huge impact in everyone’s life and the family would love to give the floor to those who knew him best. Memorial funds have been established through GoFundMe at https://gofund.me/fe953907 The Family would like to personally thank everyone that has contributed to helping pay for Jimmy’s funeral arrangements and reception. Jimmy was surrounded by many people who became true friends and was loved by each and every one. The outpour of support from all has been comforting for the family in this time and they cannot thank everyone enough. A reception in Jimmy’s honor will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 2:00 until 5:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus, 118 Kipling St., Elyria, OH 44035. Jimmy was loyal, loving, and original. “I am vast, I contain multitudes.
