James Pugh Obituary
James G. Pugh, 80, of Elyria, passed away on January 5, 2016 at the Ames Family Hospice in Westlake following a courageous battle with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).James was born to Harry and Fonda (Yoder) Pugh on November 16, 1935 in Lodi, Ohio. He spent many childhood years in Florida and graduated from Wellington High School in 1953. He served in the United States Navy.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Sumpter) and brother, Philip. He is survived by daughters Lisa Pugh and Nancy (David) Frankland, and granddaughter, Erin Frankland. He is also survived by brother, Dean (Patricia) Ab-Hugh, and several nieces.Jim retired from Bendix/Allied Signal as a mechanical engineer. He enjoyed carpentry and woodturning, photography, and nature. He was a member of LaPorte United Methodist Church where he served on committees and participated on numerous work/mission trips. A celebration of life will be held at LaPorte United Methodist Church, 2071 Grafton Road on Saturday, January 16 at 11:00am.
