James Heath Obituary
James H. Heath, 74, of Elyria, died March 19, 2021 at Life Care Center of Elyria. He was born January 24, 1947 in Elyria, was a 1965 graduate of Elyria High School and received a Bachelor Degree from Tennessee Temple University. During the Vietnam War, he served from 1970-1972 with the US Army stationed in Germany. Jim had been a volunteer at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center with over 10,000 volunteer service hours. He enjoyed singing and was a member of The Amherst Community Chorus and Good News Messengers. He had also acted in performances at Workshop Players in Amherst. Jim is survived by a sister, Jan (Mike) McClister of Elyria; niece, Carrie Marquardt; nephew, Kevin McClister; and nieces, Jaime and Lindsey Heath. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Lucille Heath; and a brother, Jeff Heath. Friends will be received Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 11:00 am until the time of a 1:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Pastor Bob Wickens will officiate. Covid-19 precautions will be observed, face masks are required. Private burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
