James Kenneth Vargo, 85, of Lorain, died October 23, 2015 at Mercy New Life Hospice, Lorain.He was born January 19, 1930 in Lorain and was a 1949 graduate of Lorain High School. Jim was a member of the National Guard and then served with the US Army during The Korean War. He was employed by Central Telephone Company from where he retired in 1988.James is survived by children, Linda (David) Eberhardt and James A. (Lizbeth) Vargo; grandchildren, Matthew (Laurie) Varndell and Timothy (Kyrsten) Vargo; great grandchildren, Cole and Zachary Varndell.He was preceded in death by wives Ruth E. Vargo (nee Witte) in 1986 and H. Doris Vargo in 2014 and his parents James and Susan Vargo.A graveside service for the family was conducted at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township with Reverend Beth McKee officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 740 Commerce Dr. Suite B Perrysburg, OH 43551. Arrangements were in the care of Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
