I got to thinking about Jim today….crossed my fingers….checked the obits on line and discovered that he has passed away. I send my condolences and sorrow to all of his family.I met Jim, in our relatively later years, through mutual friends on golfing trips to Florida. His unbounded personality, sense of humor and vivaciousness shined through. He made first acquaintances into fast friends…quickly. He lit up every room and didn’t need a switch to do so.In addition to the annual golf excursions, on occasion we would get together for lunch which always resulted in fun and laughter. He spoke of his love and pride for his wife and all of his family. Living in an eastern suburb was a bit restricting to see the great man from Elyria so it somewhat limited our getting together. But being with Jim was always a pleasure. He was an exceptional guy in many ways. My life is better having known him.
