James F. Lyons Jr.'s Obituary
James F. “Jim” Lyons, Jr., 86, of Columbus and formally of Naples, Florida, died Monday July 6, 2026 at Kobacher OhioHealth Hospice House in Columbus. He was born November 24, 1939, in Elyria and was a graduate of Elyria High School. He attended The Ohio State University and earned a bachelors degree from Franklin University. Jim proudly served with the US Air Force and had been employed at Pfaudler Company. For 34 years, he was employed with the US General Service Administration as Director of Facilities which took him to Columbus, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Chicago, and Miami. He was a member of St. Mary Church, St. Agnes Catholic Church and attended St. Michael Church. Jim was past president of BOMA and won several awards, OSU Alumni in Naples and enjoyed playing golf and socializing.
Jim is survived by his son, Leon (Lisa) Biller of Reynoldsburg; grandchildren, Austin (Alex) Biller and Alexis (Cris) Reyes; sister, Beatrice “Bea” (Tom) Webb and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary (nee LaCrosse) and James Lyons, Sr., sister, Mary Jo Lyons, brother Robert (Donna) Lyons and grandson Christian Biller
Friends will be received Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 10:30 am until the time of a 12:30 pm Funeral Mass at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 611 Lake Avenue, Elyria with Reverend Charles T. Diedrick officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
