Jane Fauver MontgomeryJane Fauver Montgomery, 84, of Gainesville, Virginia, passed away, April 25, 2018, surrounded by family.She was born to the late Worth and Virginia Fauver, December 30, 1933 in Elyria, OH. Jane graduated high school from Hathaway Brown School in Shaker Heights, OH. She received her college degree from Mt. Holyoke and a Master of Education from Harvard in 1956.Jane adored playing tennis, which is how she met her loving partner Robert Higgins. She was a talented musician who directed choirs with her perfect pitch and sang at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Jane enjoyed teaching piano and playing the organ in local churches. She worked in the federal government for over 20 years in many departments, including Biotechnology and the Navy where she wrote speeches for admirals. Jane was an avid gardener and grew beautiful azaleas, crepe myrtle and cherry blossoms.Jane is survived by three children: Elizabeth (Randy) Jenson of Woodinville, WA; William (Elizabeth) Montgomery of Bannockburn, IL; and Virginia Kelly of Naperville, IL; six grandchildren Daniel and Kelly Jenson; Madeline and Bo Kelly; Allison and Emily Montgomery; sister-in-law Holly Fauver. She was predeceased by her two brothers David and Worth Fauver.Long known for her positive outlook on life and sense of humor, Jane also loved mango margaritas. She was an active member of the National Ataxia Foundation and supported the University of Michigan Fauver Family Ataxia Research Fund. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the University of Chicago Department of Neurology. Please include in the memo: Dr. Christopher Gomez Research Fund; 5841 S. Reverend Alex Barton, Rector of Church of the Redeemer will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elyria.
