Janet Y. Myers (nee Rickel), 87, of Elyria, died July 2, 2023 at Ames Family Hospice, Westlake. She was born October 17, 1935 in Lodi, Oh and was a 1953 graduate of Elyria High School. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Traverse City, MI and a lifetime member of Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, Fredrick Myers; children, Douglas E. Myers, Sheryl L. (Clint) Giles and John F. Myers; sister, Carol L. Scrivens of Elyria; grandchildren, Erin L. (Jackie) Denson, Kenneth E. (Megan) Myers, Ryne J. (Andrea) Giles, John F. Giles, Megan M. Myers and Natalie A. (Christopher) Fredrickson and great-grandchildren, Sarrah M. Denson, Savannah A. Denson, Seth D. Myers, Zachariah N. Myers, Logann E. Colburn and Liam C. Hale. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Dorothy Rickel and an infant granddaughter. A graveside service will be 1:15 pm Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman. Pastor Troy Smith of Pilgrim United Church of Christ will officiate.
