Jason Valatka Obituary
Jason L. Hendricks Valatka, 21, of Elyria, died October 16, 2012 as a result of injuries received from an accident at the U.S Air Force Base in Misawa, Japan, where he was stationed. Jason was born December 13, 1990 in Elyria and was a 2008 graduate of Elyria High School. He was proud to serve in the U.S. Air Force which he entered December 27, 2009 and had attained the rank of SrA. Jason is survived by his father, Jason L. (Yvonne) Hendricks Sr.; mother, Jennifer Simmons; father, Alex G. Valatka; brothers; Sean, Dillon and Dakota all of Elyria; fianc, Yumi Watanabe, of Japan; grandparents, Robert and Pat Freligh, Becky Byers, Don and Frances Nowak, Walter and Carla Hendricks, Dorothy Valatka, Vernon Morgan and Debra Kelley. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Joseph Valatka.Friends will be received Friday, October 26, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A funeral service will be Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Dan Samms, pastor of Group Life at Church of the Open Door officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria, where military honors will be presented by the U.S. Air Force. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jason Hendricks Valatka Memorial Fund at any US Bank branch.
