You don't know me, but Jean was a very dear friend of my father, Paul Edwards, who passed away in 2007. Jean came to me and offered her services. She even went out and ordered a cake for the memorial service. She was so fond of my father and her generousity was humbling to me. She will be missed and you have my sincere prayers.
My first job out of college was as the Youth Director at the YWCA. Jean was the committee chair, and thus began a wonderful relationship. I learned so much from Jean and think of her often as I am now a member of several Boards. I have a piece of artwork from her hanging in daily view. You have been blessed to have her; my condolences for your loss.
My sympathies for the loss of Jean. She was a wonderful woman. She would always give me a hug at church and tell me what a good job I did when I read the liturgy. I loved her hugs! I started in the Elyria First UMC Bell Choir in 2006. It was a pleasure playing the bells with Jean. She truly showed what it means to be a Christian.
Jean and Tom were the most wonderful friends and neighbors! They lightened my load many times over the years......I will miss their wise counsel. The contributions they made to Elyria as well as Lorain County are countless. Their family should be very proud......

My mother, Angela DiLuciano, and Mrs. Bowen were school mates and friends. She was kind, caring and a zest for life unseen by most her age. I accompanied my mom to the last 8 or so reunions and Mrs. Bowen was always so welcoming and gracious. She will be missed. Rest in peace,Mrs. Bowen. I will miss your smile.
