Jeannette K. Penman, 104, of Elyria Township, died May 25, 2015 at Life Care Center of Elyria.She was born September 9, 1910 in Norwalk, Ohio and has been a resident of Elyria and Elyria Township most of her life.For 20 years, she was employed as a file clerk in the medical records department at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. Jeannette was a member of Lake Avenue United Church of Christ, the Zonta Class of the church and was also a member of Daughters of Scotia.Jeannette is survived by a daughter Beverly (Richard) Pandy of Elyria Township; granddaughters Debra (Bill) McFedridge of Ormond Beach, FL and Kimberly (James) Smola of Avon, OH; great grandchildren Jeannette Remington, Richie, Patrick and Maureen Ransom and Matthew and Jennifer Smola and great great grandchildren Kennedy Remington and Lillian and Evan Ransom.She was preceded in death by her husband Alexander S. in 1962; daughter Sandra E. in 1947, parents Thomas and Ellen Brown; brothers James, John, Wendell and Gordon Brown and sisters Anna Leber, Agnes Sloane and Violet Severn.Friends will be received Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 10 A.M. until the time of an 11:00 A.M. service at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria, OH 44035.
