Jeff Cable was like a son to me for years and a true friend to many others. Here is some information that might aid in describing who he was. After 2024, his lay ministry was limited by heath concerns. Still, Jeff daily encouraged many pastors and relatives. Before that, he was a blur of activity. This memorable gentleman was an active youth leader at Bethel Chapel, Elyria, Ohio and a later attendee at Peace Mennonite Church which was to become Elyria Friends. Today, doing such church youth work amidst the surrounding secularism, takes talented people. Jeff was one such individual. At Bethel Church, he and two other Christain men worked to undergird the youth there with such maturity and integrity that some even joined the U.S. Military. Also, with his signature joyfulness, he helped over twenty church youth become evangelical Believers in Jesus Christ. He did not merely play X-Box for enjoyment, but he used this is in his youth work. He actively served others in other ways. Before being a greenskeeper, he had the more demanding career of driving an eighteen-wheeler truck to numerous states. He had a productive life. - Craig D. Helm, one his old friends.
