Jerry Sayers Obituary
Jerry C. Sayers, 71, of Elyria, died suddenly at his home Thursday November 18, 2021. He was born October 8, 1950 in Grundy, Virginia, moving to Elyria in 1964. He attended Elyria High School and for many years was a semi truck driver. He loved working on cars with his grandson, Josh and listening to country music. He was a sports fan, especially of the Cleveland Browns and was happy fishing and working in his yard. Jerry is survived daughters, Kelly (Jon) Bartley, Kimmy Dotson, Shannon Bennett, Ashliegh (Michael) Dermon and Jerry (Andrew) Jones; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Eloise (Kambiz) Sarooie and Sherry Tolley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alice Sayers; brothers, Roger and Jimmy Sayers; sister, Brenda Fleming and a son-in-law, Dallas Thacker. Friends will be received Monday November 29, 2021 from 3:30 PM until the time of a 6:00 PM service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.
