Jessica Marie Wright died unexpectedly March 21, 2021 at the age of twenty five. She was born November 11, 1995 to her parents, Jennifer Cheney and James B. Wright. Growing up on a small farm in Penfield, she was active in 4-H, showing her homegrown turkeys at the Lorain County Fair. She attended Keystone and Wellington Schools. Her family was very proud when she obtained her GED after her son was born. Jessica had been employed at several gas stations in Elyria. Her interests included drawing and photography. Jessica is survived by her beloved son, Eric Durbin, who liked going to the park with his mom and getting ice cream. She is also survived by her mother, Jennifer Cheney (Chris Ruggles) of Elyria, father, James B. Wright of Wakeman, brother, Joshua Wright (Haley Pongracz) of North Ridgeville, sister, Julia Wright (Cameron Wolfe) of Oberlin, step-sister, Eve Hogan of Fairview Park, grandmother, Margaret Cheney (nee Lance) of Elyria, uncle, Jim Cheney of Elyria, aunts, Cathy Isenhart (Brad) of Akron and Tammy and Dorothy Wright of Detroit, two nephews and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Ralph E. Cheney and paternal grandmother, Cynthia Lee Wright. Friends will be received Saturday March 27, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 118 Kipling Street, Elyria.
