Jimmie Bryant Obituary
Jimmie R. Bryant, 80, of Carlisle Township, Ohio passed away Friday, March 11, 2022 following a medical emergency. He was born November 4, 1941 in Roby, TX and was a 1959 graduate of LaGrange High School. A retired professional truck driver who logged in millions of miles throughout his career, Jim was very mechanically inclined and hard-working. He learned on his own how to maintain automobiles and even built his own home. Throughout his life he enjoyed spending time at home, visiting with close friends, showing hospitality, doting on his beloved dogs, working on home projects, landscaping, and gardening. Jim is survived by his wife of 42 years, Genevieve; children Jerry (Rebecca) Bryant, Lea Centracchio, Vanessa (Ben) Umeh, Neal (Rael) Bryant, and Suzanne (Paul) Vana; stepchildren Terry George and Tammy French; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Ray Bryant and mother Norma Vance, as well as younger brother, Wayne. Jim enjoyed studying the Bible and shared its positive message with others as a member of the Bainbridge, Ohio Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and recently associated with East Elyria Congregation. A virtual memorial service will be Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 2:00pm via Zoom videoconference. Minister and longtime friend Jim Warren will officiate. Zoom Meeting ID: 559-647-072. Passcode: 39099!
