Jody Lynn Nuttall's Obituary
Jody Nuttall Obituary
Jody Lynn Nuttall (nee Magers), 60, beloved wife and mother, went home to be with the Lord September 30, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Cancer did not win this battle however, it was a tie. This disease may have broken her body, but never her spirit. The way she coped with this adversity was an inspiration to family & friends. Jody was born October 10, 1955 in Cadiz, OH to William and Wanda Magers. She attended Cadiz High School and received Bachelor and Master degrees from Bowling Green State University. For 32 years, Jody was employed as a librarian by the Elyria City Schools, including the last 3 years as a paraprofessional. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School, active on various committees, helped with the Youth Group, and served Community Hot Meals. Other interests included bicycling, reading, spending time with family and her pet Golden Retrievers. She was a loving mother, an amazing wife and our best friend. Jody did everything with a smile and throughout her battle, rarely complained. She will be incredibly missed but always held close in our hearts. Jody is survived by her husband James and daughters Carly & Katie of Elyria; mother Wanda Magers and brother Jeff (Darlene) Magers, both of Newcomerstown, brother Jason Magers (Nicholas Wilson) of Newport Beach, Australia; nieces Jennifer (Chris) McVey and Julie (Matt) Beitzel, both of Newcomerstown, and beloved aunt, Wilma Griffin and family of Sunbury, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her father, William Magers. The family expresses their sincere gratitude to caregiver, Darlene Magers and also to Shawn Kovacik, Susan Smith, Peggy Gnizak, Gail Haywood and church family for their friendship and devotion.
