Joe Glessner Obituary
Joseph P. “Joe” Glessner, 66, of Elyria, died November 26, 2021 at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital. He was born May 4, 1955 in Elyria and was a 1973 graduate of Elyria High School. He received an Associate Degree of Arts and Science from Lorain County Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in electronic technology from Cleveland State University Fenn College of Engineering. Joe was a semi retired electrical engineer design contractor. He was a member of River of Life Church, Elyria. Joe enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, waterskiing and boating. Other interests included vacation trips, photography and going to the shooting range. Joe is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Louise (nee Pumphrey); daughter, Caitlyn (Keith) Novarese and granddaughter, Chloe Grace Novarese. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Joseph Glessner; parents, Edwin A. and Gwendolyn (nee Pickworth) Glessner and a sister, Linda Glessner. Friends will be received Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 11 am until the time of a 12:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Pastor Steven R. Haddix of Delphos Wesleyan Church, Delphos, Ohio will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
