John B. ReevesJohn B. Reeves, 75, of Elyria, died March 12, 2019. He was born August 18, 1943 in Cleveland and was a 1962 graduate of North Ridgeville High School. For 3 years, he served with the United States Army stationed in Germany. John was employed as a union laborer and was a member of Lowell Street Baptist Church.John is survived by children, Drenda Christian of Elyria, Layman Christian of Lorain, Albert Christian of Elyria, Jim Christian of Elyria, and Rickey Christian of Randlet, OK; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Thomas Reeves of Elyria.He was preceded in death by wives, Patricia Ann Reeves and Sharon Reeves; grandson, Derek Christian; parents, Buster and Dorothy Reeves; and a sister Elizabeth “Betty” Balzer.Friends will be received Monday, March 18, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lowell Street Baptist Church, 642 Lowell Street, Elyria. A funeral service will be Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 11:00 am in the church with Pastor Tony Woodyard and Pastor Tom Spaulding officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon where Elyria VFW #1079 Honor Guard will present military honors. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Elyria.
