John R. “Dick” Raifsnyder, 86, of Wellington, passed away June 14, 2021 at The Laurels of New London after a lengthy illness. He was born November 12, 1934 in Clyde, Ohio to Lloyd and Ines Raifsnyder. Dick was a Korean War veteran serving in the US Air Force. For many years, he was employed as a milkman at Lorain Creamery and was a retired electrician from US Steel, Lorain. He enjoyed restoring tractors, going to flea markets, playing computer games and going for long drives. Dick is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley Ann (nee Berger); children, Dan Raifsnyder and Tina (Dan) Brasee; grandsons, Kaleb, Jakeb (Meghan) and Ben (Jessica) Brasee; great-grandchildren, Basil, Oliver, Noelle, Beatrix and Josiah Brasee; and sisters, Roxanne Reynolds and Gloria Kohlmyer. He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher in 2018 and his parents. Per Dick’s request, a service at New Russia Township Cemetery will be private.
