John Frederick Pietch, 62, Wickliffe, Ohio, passed away at his residence May 18, 2021. He was born December 6, 1958 in Elyria, the son of Earl F. and Maxine J. (nee Fichtner) Pietch. John was a 1977 graduate of Elyria High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University. For many years, he held computer technology positions with various businesses in Northeast Ohio. He retired in 2016 to care for his wife, Carol A. Pietch (nee Mannion), who then was diagnosed with cancer. Surviving John are sons, Thomas J., and Daniel E. (Jessica); daughter Sarah K. Pietch; and a grandson, Elijah John Pietch, all of Columbus. Also surviving are brothers, Larry R. (Judy) of Norwalk, and Richard S. (Bev) of Charlotte, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol, a brother, Robert M., and his parents. A graveside service will be Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 11:00 am at Brookdale Cemetery. Reverend Beau Dansizen, Associate Pastor of Avon Lake United Church of Christ will officiate. Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elyria.
