John Howard Holl John Howard Holl, 83, of Elyria, died, September 7, 2020 at The Abbewood. He was born April 1, 1937 in Youngstown, Ohio and was a graduate of Conneaut High School. He also received a Bachelor Degree in Architecture from Kansas State University. He had been employed as a director for the Lorain County Regional Planning Commission retiring from the Lorain County Transit System. He was a fifty year member of First Congregational United Church of Christ and a long time member of East Elyria Kiwanis Club. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed boating and fishing. John is survived by a daughter, Kristen Johnson of Elyria; son, Stephen (Deborah) Holl of Sydney, Australia; grandchildren, Sophia and Ethan Holl and Madeline, Mitchell and Meredith Johnson and a brother, Ronald E. Holl of North East, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Carole J. Holl in 2019 and his parents, Edward and Nettie Holl. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in North Kingsville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 1689 East 115th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44160 or a charity of choice. Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elyria.
