John Fiscus Obituary
John K. “Jack” Fiscus, 84, of Elyria, died September 25, 2019 at the home of his daughter in Hilliard, OH. He was born May 30, 1935 in Pittsburgh, PA and was employed at Ford Motor Company, Lorain for 27 years retiring as a supervisor in 1994. He then owned and operated Joli-Beem Plus Snacks and was known “The Candy Man” for the next 17 years. Jack was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Elyria and enjoyed spending the summers in Sandusky, Ohio. Jack is survived by his wife of 61 years, Donna L. (nee Lindsay); daughters, Beth (Peter) Von Blon of Hilliard and Kelly (Alex) Szoke of Shawnee Hills; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters; and four brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be Friday, October 4, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 295 College Park Drive, Elyria with Reverend Laurie A. Miller officiating. Following the service, friends are invited for a reception from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Wolfey’s Bistro and Pub, 1069 E. Broad Street, Elyria. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery.
