John R. Ingram, 55, of Ontario, Ohio, died suddenly at his home March 27, 2013. He was born March 24, 1958 in Elyria and was a 1977 graduate of Edison High School in Milan, Ohio. John was a skilled carpenter and welder and had the ability to repair whatever needed attention. He was an accomplished artist and enjoyed working on cars, hunting, fishing and watching westerns on television. His favorite pastime was being with his beloved grandson, Kaiden. John is survived by his wife of twenty five years, Ellen K. (nee: Bauer); children, Joshua M. and Erica N. Ingram both of Ontario, Melissa M. Coy of North Fairfield, and John P. Ingram of Norwalk; grandchildren, Kaiden, Jake, Luke, Cole and Jayna; mother and step-father, Patricia and Richard Kenney of Vermilion; brothers, Randolph M. Ingram of North Fairfield and Chris A. Ingram of New London; sister, Laura A. Sobotka of Vermilion and nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, John M. Ingram in 2007; grandparents, Michael and Christina Ingram and Lynn and Zelma Fitzpatrick.Friends will be received Saturday March 30, 2013 from 2:00 PM until the time of a 4:00 PM service Saturday March 30, 2013 at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to help with the familys expenses to the funeral home.
