Jordan James Whitt, 18, of Elyria, passed away June 18, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born April 7, 2005 in Westlake and was a recent graduate of Murray Ridge School. He loved Elmo and listening to music. His favorite TV shows were Mickey Mouse Club House, Bluey, Sesame Street and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. Despite the pain and discomfort he endured, Jordan was such a happy child. Please never shake a baby; simply walk away. Crying never hurt a baby, but shaking does. Jordan is survived by his mother, Tabitha Whitt; dad, Tommy Moss; step-sister, Victoria Moss; grandmother, Katherine Phillips; grandparents, Woody and Marge Cutright; grandfather, William Crist; great-grandparents, Robert and Patty O’Hara; uncles, Timothy Whitt, Cliff Whitt, Jonathon Whitt, Donovan Phillips, Patrick (Marissa) Phillips, Skylar Phillips, Noah Phillips and Clayton (Sammie) Moss; aunts, Bailee Phillips, Samantha Feehan, Connie Bonita Overly and Kate Moss; great-uncle, Bobby Crist; cousins, Logan, Cheyenne and Hailey Whitt and Mia and Gianna Moss; cats, Luna and Baby; dog, Jazmyn and many other friends and family. He was preceded in death by grandfather, James Whitt; grandparents, Roland and Janet Moss; great-grandparents, Betty and Arthur Mills, Jamed and Carol Whitt and Bill and Marion Crist; aunt, Ashley Craft; and beloved dog, Deebo Jordan’s family would like to thank all the nurses, RT’s, doctors and specialists at UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital for the wonderful care over the past 18 years. Friends will be received Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 2:00 pm until the time of a 5:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Pastor Troy Smith will officiate. Jordan loved balloons, in lieu of flowers, bring one to his service. There will be a box for cards set up if anyone would like to bring a card for the family to keep or any memories or thoughts you’d like to share with the family.
