Joseph A. Joe Hebebrand, 52, of Elyria, died Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at EMH Healthcare.He was born December 30, 1960 in Elyria, attended Lorain County JVS, was a 1979 graduate of Elyria High School and had been employed as a millwright.Joe was a longtime resident of Ft. Lauderdale, FL until returning to Elyria in 2007. He formerly attended First United Methodist Church and enjoyed his pet bulldogs, bass fishing, listening to music and reading.Joe is survived by his mother and stepfather Georgia M. (nee Walker) and Glenn Mahaffey; father David Hebebrand; brother Greg Hebebrand, all of Elyria; sister Kathleen (Joseph Rhodes) Hebebrand of Wellington, FL; grandmother Betty Walker of Elyria; former wife Jill Hebebrand of Elyria; stepdaughter Tiffany Terry of St. Cloud, FL; stepson Steven Hawes, Jr. of Amherst, OH; companion Kellie Keller of Elyria; aunts, uncles nieces, nephews and many close friends.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather George Walker in 1976 and paternal grandparents Roy & Maude Hebebrand.A graveside service to take place in the summer at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township will be announced at a later date. Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Elyria is handling arrangements.
