Joseph Hersman Obituary
Joseph W. Hersman, 62, of Elyria, died April 16, 2023 after a brief illness. He was born August 11, 1960 in Charleston, WV and was a 1978 graduate of Midview High School. Joe spent many of his summers visiting his grandparents in Lettergap, WV at their wonderful home surrounded by beautiful hills. Joe especially loved when his cousin George came to visit in the summers. They spent many a day having fun exploring the enchanting hills surrounding their grandparent’s home and old buildings. You could always see them fishing in the pond next to the house or swimming and playing in the creek. They loved being at their grandparent’s and had many, many fun adventures together. From 1979-1981, Joe proudly served in the US Army. He was a truck driver for 40 years, the last 12 years he enjoyed trucking for JT Container of Elyria. Joe enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, watching sports, especially the Cleveland Browns and listening to rock music. He loved his dog, Stormi and 4 cats. He was a hard worker, the life of the party and loved by all who knew him.
