Joy E. Beckloff (nee McConnell), 65, of Elyria, died Friday, August 17, 2012 at EMH Healthcare after a long illness.She was born November 16, 1946 in Elyria and was a 1964 graduate of Elyria High School.Joy and her late husband owned and operated Becks Door Service in Elyria for 20 years. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Elyria and she enjoyed bowling and cross-stitch.Joy is survived by her sons Jeffery Matthews of Wooster, Chris Matthews of Elyria, Brian (Tamara) Beckloff of Grafton and Aaron Beckloff of Elyria; daughters Mischelle (John) Helterbridle of Knoxville,TN and Danielle (Matt) Swords of Elyria. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren; sister Carole Wright of Surprise, AZ and brother, Don McConnell of Elyria.She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas E. Beckloff in 1999, a nephew, Kenneth Vietzen in 2003 and parents Harold and jean McConnell.Family will received friends Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria, where a funeral service will be Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
