Juanita M. Young (nee Allison), 94, of Elyria, died September 4, 2022 in her home. She was born January 16, 1928 in Orme, Tennessee and was an Elyria resident for the past 60 years. Juanita had been a longtime employee of the YWCA where she enjoyed catering weddings and for various clubs such as Kiwanas and Rotary. She enjoyed gambling, baking, gardening and writing letters to the editor for the Chronicle Telegram. Juanita is survived by her children, Deborah (Paul) Decker, James (Donna) Young, Jr., and Kimberly (Michael) Vasil; 6 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Young; daughters, Judith Gayle and Patricia; son, Rodney; son in law, Leonard and parents, Jacob and Gertrude Allison. A private family service will be held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
