Judith Ann Jalowiec Beal, 74, of Bostic, North Carolina, died Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. She was born February 22, 1942 and was a daughter of the late Theodore and Beatrice Guthman Jalowiec.Judy was a graduate of Elyria High School in the Class of 1960. She worked as a radiologist at St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain and went on to graduate from Lorain County Community College with a degree in nursing. Judy worked at Elyria Memorial Hospital, until moving with her family to Rutherford County, where she worked in the Emergency Department at Rutherford Regional Medical Center from 1984 until 1998. She had served as the Assistant Director of the Emergency Department and was MICN certified. Judy was also a faithful member of Salem United Methodist Church.Her husband, Donald Beal preceded her in death in 2009.Survivors include two sons, Brian Beal and wife, Kim of Sharpsburg, Georgia, Brad Beal and wife, Melissa of Knoxville, Tennessee; daughter, Julie Hollifield and husband, Bobby of Bostic; brother, Lynn Jalowiec of Grafton; sister, Susan Maurer of Yardley, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Christopher McCurry of Roanoke, Virginia, Stephen Beal of Atlanta, Georgia, Amber McCurry of Bostic, Ashley Beal of Sharpsburg, Georgia, Hannah Beal, Caroline Beal and Andrew Beal, all of Knoxville, Tennessee and one great-granddaughter, Braelyn Davis of Bostic.Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, July 2, 2016 in the Salem United Methodist Church with The Reverend Melinda Penry officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.
