Julia Krupka Obituary
Julia T. Krupka (nee Simon), 95, of Elyria, died January 6, 2017 at Life Care Center of Elyria. The daughter of Hungarian immigrants, John and Julia Simon, she was born September 21, 1921 in Elyria and was a 1939 graduate of Elyria High School. Julia was a lifelong member of St. Mary Parish and enjoyed gardening, extending help to others, and most of all spending time with her family. For many years ,she was employed as an assembler at Stanadyne of Elyria, retiring in 1983. She was the loving mother of Peggy (David) Gnizak of Elyria; beloved Nana of granddaughter, Stephanie (Jason) Shoemaker and great-grandchildren, Luke and Reagan Shoemaker, all of Medina. Also surviving is a sister, Dorothy (Karoly) Molnar of Elyria. She was a treasured Aunt Judy to several much loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Floyd C. Krupka in 1985; twin sister, Mary Bommer in 1996 and a grandson, Gregory Gnizak in 2013. A memorial mass will be Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 320 Middle Ave., Elyria. Reverend Father Charles T. Diedrick will be the celebrant. A private burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Church. Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Elyria.
