Karen A. Sissy Jackson (nee Owens), 67 a longtime resident of Elyria, died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in her home surrounded by family.She was born October 23, 1944 in Lorain, Ohio and graduated from Clearview High School in 1962. She was formerly employed in management at Convenient Food Mart on East Ave. in Elyria for many years.She enjoyed dancing and sports, but her greatest passion was spending time with her grandchildren.Sissy is survived by her friend and companion, Kevin Inman of Elyria; daughters Mary Micci Benson of Elyria, Krista Faust of Charlotte, NC and honorary daughter Amy Rogers of Elyria; sons Brian Rogers of Lorain, Gregory Rogers of Elyria, Michael Rogers of Cape Coral, FL, Harrison Jackson, Jr. of N. Ridgeville and Lamar and Terry Jackson, both of Elyria. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; sisters Jonette Brewer of Lorain, Gladys Crisp of Ravenna and Lisa Richardson of Nashville, TN.She was preceded in death by husband Harrison Jackson, Sr. in 1997, parents James S. and Gladys E. (nee Brown) Owens, Sr. and a brother James Sonny Owens in 2002.Friends will be received Saturday, December 31, 2011 from 11 a.m. until the time of a 1:00 p.m. funeral service at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria.
