Kay L. Lago (nee: Witherell), 72, of Elyria, died February 14, 2016. She was born September 17, 1943 in Kansas City, Kansas and was a 1961 graduate of Elyria High School. Some of her interests included arts, crafts, joke telling and watching NASCAR on TV with a Budweiser. She especially enjoyed time with her companion dog, Chewie.Kay is survived by a son, Dax A. (Haley) Lago; daughter, Brittany (Boe) Lago; grandchildren, Mariah, Kennedy, Rowynn, Gage and Maddison and a brother, Luverne Witherell all of Elyria. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lago in 1992; parents, Carrie Witherell Kasper in 2000 and Luverne T. Witherell in 1957; step-father, Steve Kasper and a brother, Lyle Witherell.Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Kay, Saturday February 20, 2016 from 8:00 PM to Midnight at The Eagles Club, 1255 Lowell Street, Elyria. Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. To assist with expenses memorial contributions may be made to the family or the funeral home.
