Kent A. Gibbs, Jr.Kent A. Gibbs, Jr., 57, of Elyria, died, November 15, 2017. He was born September 6, 1960 in Elyria. During his working career he was a self employed painter. Kent was an active member of Community United Methodist Church and participated in making apple butter with the United Methodist Mens Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family, the outdoors and loved his cats.Kent is survived by sons, Grant Gibbs and Joshua (Melissa) Gibbs; seven grandchildren; parents, Kent and Elizabeth “Liz” Gibbs; sister, Kathy Gibbs and several aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and a great niece.He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard A. Gibbs in 2013.A memorial service will be Saturday 11:00 AM November 18, 2017 at Community United Methodist Church, 680 North Abbe Road, Elyria. Reverend Kevin Coleman will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home for the benefit of the family. Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.
