Ladine Agnes Smink (nee Matelsky), 78, of Elyria, died February, 10, 2014 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain.She was born April 5, 1935 in Elyria and has been a resident of Elyria and Elyria Township most of her life.She attended Elyria Catholic High School, was a member of New Life Full Gospel Ministries in Elyria; Elyria V.F.W. #1079 Ladies Auxiliary and Elyria American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 12. Her hobbies included ceramics and crocheting.Ladine is survived by a son Christopher Smink of Tupelo, Mississippi; daughter Kim Sanchez of Clearwater, Florida; 3 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister Marianne Osterman of Elyria and a brother Charles Matelsky of Sheffield Lake.She was preceded in death by her husband Richard A. Smink in 2007, parents George and Adeline Matelsky and a brother William Matelsky.A memorial service for the family will be held in the spring.Inurnment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Elyria was in charge of arrangements.
