Laura Chrismer Obituary
Laura J. Chrismer, 62, of Elyria, died, Monday, June 18, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 12, 1949 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Donald and MaryRae DeCecco. Laura was the current president of the Elyria YWCA Board of Directors and served on the board of Lorain/Medina Community Based Correctional Facility. She was an avid traveler both for leisure and as an active participant with Global Volunteers. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Laura is survived by her husband of 30 years, Dr. Lynn C. Chris Chrismer; daughter, Simone Leduc and granddaughter, Juliet Nickel of Geneva, Illinois; sister, Donna Heckman and niece and nephew, Alexandra and Christopher Heckman all of Pittsburgh.Friends will be received Thursday June 21, 2012 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A service will be held Friday June 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Reverend Stacy Terrell and Reverend Beth McKee officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elyria YWCA Womens Shelter, 318 West Avenue, Elyria, 44035.
