Leah Grieve Obituary
Leah M. Grieve (nee Werner), 91, of Elyria, was received into Heaven January 25, 2017. Leah was blessed to spend her last days at home surrounded by the love of family and friends. Born January 1, 1926 in Litchfield, Ohio, she was a 1943 graduate of Sullivan High School and attended business school. She was formerly employed at Colson Corporation. Leah was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ and the church prayer group. She was also an avid bird watcher and member of the Audubon Society. She was a former volunteer at Wesleyan Village, enjoyed the outdoors and car trips with her family. Leah is survived by her children, Susan Johnson, Julie Bowman and William E. (Penny) Grieve, Jr., all of Elyria; grandchildren, Tony Leos, Leah Bowman and Kaylee and Sarah Grieve and great grandchildren, William and Autymn. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William E. Grieve, Sr. in 2007, sisters, Norma Kraps and Allene Lance and parents Edward and Viola (nee Pfeiffer) Werner. A celebration of her life will be Saturday, February 4. 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria.
