Leathy Searcy, 38, of Elyria, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022. She was born March 29, 1984 in Elyria to Thomas and Sheryl (nee Gerhart) Searcy. She was a 2002 graduate of Elyria High School where she was a member of the Elyria High Dance Team. Some of the jobs Leathy had included the Cleveland Indians Team Shop, Walmart, Sears and Fifth Third Bank. Leathy loved spending time with her daughter, Kiera and Facebooking. In addition to her mother and daughter, Leathy is survived by her sisters, Catherine Muniz and Toby Kurtz; brother, Troy Kurtz and nephews, William Ross, Tavon, Josh and Deion Kurtz, Tristan Taylor and Lu Muniz. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas, grandmother, Lizzie King and grandparents, Norman and Mona Lou Gerhart. A celebration of life will be Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Amvets Post 32, 11087 Middle Ave., Elyria.
