Lee Tobias Obituary
Lee D. Tobias, 90, of Elyria, died July 5, 2021 after a year long illness. He was born March 13, 1931 in Shamokin, PA. During the Korean War, Lee served with the US Army in Korea and Italy. For forty one years he was employed at Ridge Tool Company, Elyria retiring as tool crib manager. He was a member of Elyria VFW # 1079, Elyria American Legion Post # 12, 40/8 of the Legion and Elyria United Polish Club. Lee is survived by his wife of sixty six years, Pauline B. (nee Knapp); daughter, Barbara L. (Marlon) Droddy of Vermilion; son, Michael Tobias of Texas; grandchildren, Eric and Jennifer Bors, Burgandy Clowers, Amber Tobias, Matthew and Carmen Beard and Chasity Droddy; 12 great grandchildren; twin brother, Leon (Ann) Tobias of Elyria and sister, Hilda Conry of Avon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Mattie Tobias; brothers, James and Malcom Tobias and sisters, Thelma Derr and Charlotte Tobias. Friends will be received Friday July 9, 2021 from 4:00 PM until the time of a 7:00 PM service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Pastor David Little will officiate. Elyria VFW # 1079 Honor Guard will present military honors. Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH.
