Lenora Jameson Obituary
Lenora M. Lee Jameson (nee Gallion) 61, of Elyria, died peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Wesleyan Village under the care of New Life Hospice, after a courageous 8 year battle with breast cancer. Lee was born September 22, 1950, was a 1968 graduate of Elyria High School and resided in Elyria as a homemaker. For many years, she was very involved with the Elyria Jr. Bowling Association along with her father. She also spent many years volunteering for Cascade Elementary Schools Parent-Teacher Association, where her children attended. She later worked at K-mart in Elyria once her children were grown. Lee enjoyed researching family genealogy but her greatest joy was spending time with and caring for her grandchildren.Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Peter Jameson; children Kevin Jameson (Kerry) and Patti Willard (Rick), both of Elyria, Brian Jameson (Jennifer) of Lorain and Erin Adkins (Shawn) of Elyria; grandchildren Paige Jameson-Foster, Kortlynn, McKayla, Emma and Brianna Jameson, Shayna and Landry Adkins; step-grandchildren Adam and Matt Willard and Shawn and Rachel Freeman; sisters Georgia Klipstein (Gary) of Wellington and Sharon Hamrick (Obby) of Elyria.She was preceded in death by her parents George and Joann Gallion (nee Eckenroad)Family and friends will be received Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria, OH 44035. A graveside service will be 11 A.M. Monday, January 30, 2012 at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria with Reverend Beth McKee officiating.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to New Life Hospice, 5255 N. Abbe Rd.
