Leonard N. Brown, 84, of Homerville, was taken home to be with the Lord Friday, October 25, 2013 at Lodi Community Hospital.He was born March 12, 1929 in Rosedale, MI, was a graduate of Berkley High School, Berkley, MI and attended college to study tool and die making. He was formerly employed with Ford Motor Company in Detroit for 28 years, retiring as an engineer in 1993. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Spencer and enjoyed traveling, playing golf, bowling and making furniture.Leonard was loved and will be greatly missed by his wife of 36 years, Margaret A. (nee Shanks); daughters Rebecca P. Dotson of Homerville, Karen Godec of Houston, TX and Bridget Borowski of Kirtland; sons Clyde Dotson of Mentor on the Lake, Bruce Dotson of Madison, OH; and Ron Brown of Berkley, MI; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a daughter Margaret A. Dotson in 2010 and a son Skip Brown.Friends will be received Monday, October 28, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. Visitation will also be Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 10 a.m. until the time of an 11:00 a.m. service in the funeral home. Reverend Jeff Mullet, pastor of First Baptist Church of Spencer will officiate and burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
