The world has lost a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Linda C. Hamilton (nee Minney), 73, of Elyria, passed away peacefully January 6, 2021 after a long illness surrounded by her family. Linda was born March 15, 1947 in Glenville, West Virginia. For fifteen years she had been employed at General Motors Fisher Body, Elyria and also provided in home daycare for many years where she became known as “Mama”. She faithfully followed the sporting events of her children and grandchildren and was an enthusiastic shopper. Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Clyde; daughter, Lori (Kip); sons, Greg (Samantha) and Steve (Rebecca); grandchildren, Melanie (Kyle), Logan, Faith, Colby, Luke and Lily; and siblings, Sue Coghlan, Mark and Mike Minney and Luetta Mueller. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Jean Minney; brother, Terry Minney and a granddaughter, MacKenzie. Friends will be received Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.
