Linda Policheni Bartlebaugh, 42, of N. Ridgeville, formerly of Elyria, died Sunday, January 29, 2012 after a one month illness.Linda was born July 17, 1969 in Elyria. She moved to N. Ridgeville in 2004. She was a 1987 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School and Lorain County JVS with a focus on cosmetology. Linda received associates degrees in Sociology and Psychology. A soccer mom, Linda was a beautiful person, blessed with the patience and generosity of an angel. She loved children. Her husband and sons were her world. She treated her nephews and nieces like they were her own children and she was everyones best friend. Linda was previously a teacher at Save Our Children, after school program and for the last several years was a substitute teacher at Joyful Beginnings Preschool. Always giving of her time, she was an active volunteer with the N. Ridgeville City Schools serving as the PTA Treasurer, PTA Council Member and fundraising leader. Linda was a teacher for Elyrias Vacation Bible School and an active volunteer for the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts.Linda is survived by husband of 17 years, Joel Bartlebaugh. They were teenage sweethearts of 27 years. They have two sons, Thorin C. Bartlebaugh and Dain A. Bartlebaugh also of N. Ridgeville; Parents Domenico and Maria (nee DAgostino) Policheni of Elyria; sisters Silvana Morris (Dale) of Elyria and Jennifer Pulig (Steve) of Avon, Nieces and Nephews Tyler, Alex and Jordan Morris, Giada and Carmela Pulig, Mat and Kara Swortchek and Kylee Bartlebaugh. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins.Linda was preceded in death by Paternal Grandparents Carmelo and Concetta Policheni and Maternal Grandparents Antonio and Caterina DAgostino; Aunts; Giuseppa Policheni and Rosa Smith; Uncles: Domenico Policheni, Vincent Smith, Paul Vince and Dan Raible and nephew Carter Pulig.Family will receive friends on Wednesday February 1, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria, OH 44035. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012 at St Mary Church. 320 Middle Ave, Elyria, Ohio. Rev. Charles T. Diedrick, Pastor will be the celebrant.
