Linn Arthur HeistLinn Arthur Heist, 73, of Elyria, passed away peacefully at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange February 21, 2018 after his battle with cancer. Linn was born September 14, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio and was a 1962 graduate of Westlake High School. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in The United States Army from 1962-1965. Linn was a self employed truck driver and loved animals, boating and tinkering in his garage.Survivors include his wife of fifty one years, Shirley; son and daughter-in-law, Russ and Lorrie Heist; grandchildren, Stephanie and Nick Heist; sister, Beth Stucker; nephews, Jeff (Ellen) Stucker, Greg (Laurie) Stucker and a niece, Liza (Don) Vaughn.A memorial service will be Saturday March 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM in Beth-el Baptist Church, 10170 West Ridge Road, Elyria. Pastor Ken Tucker will officiate. Burial will follow at Elmhurst Park Cemetery, Avon, Ohio where Elyria VFW # 1079 will present military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Patnos, PO Box 1920, Kelley’s Island, Ohio 43438. Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elyria.
