Lloyd Eugene Wright Sr's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Lloyd Eugene Wright Sr. Elyria on June 13, 2026. Born in 1925 in West Virginia, he also lived in Grafton Ohio, and several locations in Arizona and California.
Reaching the milestone age of 100, he lived through eras of monumental change. His unwavering faith in God was his guide. He never missed a chance to share his faith, and ensure that his friends and loved ones knew the promise of eternal life.
He was very proud to be a US Navy Veteran serving during World War II as an aviation mechanic. Lloyd retired from the Ford Brookpark engine plant in 1985 after 31 years of service and passed his love of cars onto many family members. He also loved hunting and fishing and caught his last “Fish Ohio” Walleye at the age of 99 aboard a Lake Erie charter boat.
Lloyd is survived by his children, Larry (Billie) Wright, Denise (Chris) Marinchek and Lloyd (Cathy) Wright Jr.; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and sister Eula Marks.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Fonda; parents, Emmett and Frances Wright; six siblings and two grandsons.
Services are pending.
