Lois E. Gunning BowmanLois E. Gunning Bowman (nee Reisinger), 89, of Elyria, died, Tuesday, January 9, 2018. She was born November 28, 1928 in Columbia Station.Lois was formerly executive assistant and board secretary at Premier Bank and Trust in Elyria and was involved in the National Association of Banking Women. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, singing in the choir for more than 35 years. She was an avid contract bridge player and loved travel and cooking.Lois is survived by her husband, Robert T. Bowman; son, Dr. William T. Gunning (wife Barbara) of Whitehouse, Ohio; daughter, Pamela Gunning Whitacre (husband Paul) of North Bergen, New Jersey; grandchildren, Stephanie Gunning, Julia Whitacre Patterson, William Gunning IV and Charles Gunning.She was preceded in death by her first husband, William T. Gunning in 1995; parents, Lyle and Esther Reisinger and brothers, Donald Van Arsdale, Ross Van Arsdale and Glen Reisinger.Friends will be received Friday, January 26, 2018, from 1:30 P.M. until the time of a 2 P.M. memorial service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. The Reverend Kathryn Ketchum Pastor of Community of Faith United Church of Christ will officiate.
