Louie Flatt Obituary
Louie D. Flatt, 76, of Elyria, died, Friday August 3, 2012 at his home. He was born August 17, 1935 in Loretto, Tennessee and has been a resident of Elyria for over forty five years. Louie was a US Army veteran and was employed for thirty five years as a tool maker at Ridge Tool Company, retiring in 2000. He had been an avid bowler and softball player. Louie is survived by daughters, Kimberly A. Flatt, Jennifer L. Flatt and Michele M. (George) Fields all of Elyria; grandchildren, Brittany, Seth and Spencer Travis, Mikaela Flat, Taylor, McKenna, Andrew, Michael and Tiffany Fields; great granddaughter, Leia Fields; sisters, Glenda Franklin of West Point, Tennessee and Laura Prince of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty two years, Catherine M. (nee: Serozi) in 2010; daughter, Susan; parents, Linzie and Sleetie Flatt; brothers, Edward and Onis and a sister, Estelle Sherrell. Friends will be received Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A service will be Tuesday 11:00 AM at the funeral home with burial in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
