Marcia Jane Gardner (nee Nichols), 87, of Elyria, died December 1, 2014.Marcia was born November 9, 1927 in Elyria and was a 1945 graduate of Elyria High School. She received her bachelors degree from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. Marcia had been employed by the state of Ohio in several capacities including The Bureau of Employment Services in Lorain, from where she retired.She enjoyed traveling, especially spending time in Florida.Marcia is survived by sons; Alan (Gale), Arthur and Robert (Cindy) Gardner and daughters; Julie and Robin Gardner; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her former husband Robert J. Gardner, Sr. and daughter Cheryl Ann Moore, both in 2013; parents Sidney Stub and Amy Nichols and a brother Harris Nichols.Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Elyria.For online condolences, visit www.dickenfuenralhome.com
