Margaret Marie Mika, 69, of Elyria, died February 17, 2012 at Life Care Center of Elyria.She was born September 5, 1942 in Lakewood, Ohio. She was employed for 20 years at Macs Restaurant in Elyria and for 10 years at the Attic Restaurant in Higbees at Midway Mall. She retired from the Elyria City School system in 2007 after working 30 years in the cafeteria at Elyria High School.Margaret is survived by her sister Loretta S. Miller of Elyria; two aunts and cousins and friends.She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Mika in 2001; her mother Susan Mika (nee Bendik) in 1976; grandparents Andrew and Susan Bendik, Sr. and Andrew and Susan Mika, Sr. and a brother in law Henry C. Miller.Friends will be received Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from noon until the time of a 1:30 p.m. service at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria. Reverend Ronald L. Young, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Westlake will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
