Margaret Love Obituary
Margaret “Peggy” (nee Lomas) Love, 89, of Elyria, died January 14, 2023. She was born March 1, 1933 in Trenton, New Jersey and had lived in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio during her lifetime. She was pleased that for over 40 years of her life she lived close to one of the Great Lakes. Peggy was a graduate of Handy High School in Bay City, Michigan and Alma College in Alma, Michigan. She also received a Masters degree from Oakland University in Michigan. She worked as a teacher and elementary school counselor and also as a bank teller. Her favorite job was mother to her children and grandmother and great-grandmother. Reading and movie watching were interests that she enjoyed and shared with groups at Wesleyan Village. Peggy enjoyed puzzles of various kinds-especially Sudoku. She participated in card making and a variety of crafts. Grandchildren and other small friends received their own personal quilts. Peggy was a member of First United Methodist Church, and was active in the Resident Association at Wesleyan Village. Peggy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dalton and children, Steve Kelley (Elizabeth) of Westerville, OH, Ruth Morgan of Nambour, Australia and Ann Davies (Chris) of Olmsted Twp., OH, Martha Love of Avon Lake, OH, and Sara Tyburczy of Thornton, CO; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and a sister,Winifred Rinehart, survives in Rock Hill, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Donald Lomas and a sister, Elizabeth Lomas Rowley. Friends will be received Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 10:00 am until the time an 11:00 am Celebration of Life Service at Wesleyan Village, 807 West Avenue, Elyria. Burial will be in Bay City, Michigan at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elyria Public Library System, 211 Second St. Elyria, OH 44035 in memory of Peggy Love.
